Beach has a mile-long shoreline with sandy coves, rocks, tide pools, fishing & picnic facilities.
Cross over the highway to Pescadero Marsh Natural Preserve, a popular spot for bird watchers & other nature lovers. The Reserve is a haven for blue herons, kites, deer, raccoons, foxes & skunks.

Beach is 14.5 five miles south of Half Moon Bay on Highway One.

Dogs are prohibited on the beach & in the Natural Preserve at all times.
Pescadero Marsh docents lead nature walks in the marsh twice a month:
- First Sunday of the month at ten am
- Third Sunday of the month at one pm
Walks last about 2 hours. Dress in layers, bring binoculars, water, wear a hat & enjoy the marsh. Meet volunteer docents at the center of the parking lot for Pescadero State Beach on Highway one. Pescadero State Beach has 3 parking spaces.
