Myrtle Beach State Park, on South Carolina's Atlantic Coast, is situated amongst an oceanfront maritime forest in a quiet, green landscape, away from an otherwise bustling beach community on the Grand Strand; the park provides educational opportunities, a nature trail and some of the best surf fishing on the South Carolina coast, as well as stunning ocean views and another great fishing spot on the Myrtle Beach pier. Located in the heart of the Grand Strand, Myrtle Beach State Park is one of the most popular public beaches on South Carolina's coast. You can enjoy all that Myrtle Beach has to offer and spend your nights camping near the beach; many choose to use the park as their base for visiting other of Myrtle Beach's attractions. You do not have to leave the park at all if your plan is to just enjoy the beach, fish and go swimming in the ocean. The park has approximately 1 mile of Grand Strand beach. You can choose stay for an afternoon, weekend or a week - be sure to visit the park and explore the natural wildlife and habitats when in the Myrtle Beach area.
